Powering headunit/nav in house?

Powering headunit/nav in house? Hey guys-
I've got a nav/headunit I just pulled out of my H3 and I'm trying to see if I can isolate an issue I'm having.
So, I pulled it from the car and hooked it to a 12v power supply I have in the shop. The unit will power up, clock comes on, etc, but I am unable to get the unit to display anything.
Anyone know is there is another ground or feed wire that I need to ground or something to get the unit to power up the rest of the way?

If I understand the situation, you're trying to get a factory nav head unit to run out of the car. It won't have the red and yellow wires that aftermarket units have plus it requires a connection to the car to power up. That's an anti-theft feature that prevents stolen head units from working in a car they're not programmed for.
