Default What aftermarket speakers are you running?

For example, I have a Pioneer DEH6300UB head unit which I personally think is amazing, but the speakers that I have arent cutting it. I have pioneer 2 ways in the doors, tweaters, phoenix gold 6 1/2s in the sail which I wanna replace, and stock speakers in the back. Any suggestions ?

Pics welcome!

What kind of bass speaker would you recommend for the sail panel?

I should also mention I have 2 12s powered by a kenwood 1000watt amp and they sound great, just need some sail bass panels, and hatch speakers and Ill be set.

I am running a Kenwood Excelon headunit with Diamond Audio components in both the doors and the hatch on the monsoon amp and the Bazooka subs in the sail panel from Kee Audio.

Every aftermarket speaker I've ever tried sounds worse than the original when I really listen to them. In the C5 'Vette, it's a tuned system, amp and speakers. Which admittedly doesn't sound good itself - but the aftermarket speakers I put in were worse.

Sorry, but that is absolutely the installer's fault or a horrible listener ear...

I've got the Kee Audio speaker package (CDT/Bazooka/JVC), and a CDT 10" Sub/stealthbox.

I run MB Quartz components for the front with separate tweeters mounted in the door. Love these. They are about 8 years old and still sound great. Power is from a JVC Kamelion HU. The sail panels are crappy Planet Audio (really more for filler than anything). In back is a single 10" sub with a 2-channel Rockford Fosgate amp. It's a simple setup, but works well.

I would say that u really need to match your speakers front to rear...same quality sound that u dont really need to adjust that much. Then u can worry about imageing. Front image rear fill, is how i tune. And Audio Control components dont hurt either...some of the very best

Yeah... no.

Personally, I run Rainbow Profi Kick woofers and Seas Neo tweeters crossed actively by a MiniDSP run through a Helix Dark Blue 4 amp. Sub is a CDT QES-1220 on a Planet Audio P1250D (from back when they were still made in the US and were decent, unlike today's Planet Audio). Someday I will install my second subwoofer.

im running massive audio components in the front with 6.5 cdt's in the sails powered by a 4x100 mb quart amp and the sound is very crisp with good mid bass.
