I need a new HU......is there a site to look through a ton of different HU's.......

Onlinecarstereo.com is my go to place for car audio but now days if I see something I like there I'll search it on amazon to see if the have it cheaper (usually do by the way). Crutchfield is the Apple of the car audio world, overpriced for all the same stuff you can find elsewhere. the only thing they have going for them is if you buy a HU from crutch they include the wire harness and I think even the dash kit.

The question was more about finding a site with the largest selection for research. It's been my experience that Crutchfield has loads of useful information. For purchases, I go with Kee Audio or Double D Mods (sponsors here) because their prices are good and their customer service is unmatched.

Pioneer AVH-P8400BH gives you navigation through your phone among other features, or the AVH-P4400BH is the same without the "advanced app mode", or the AVH-P3400BH has a smaller screen and lower volt pre outs (doesn't matter if using stock amp stock amp or deck power) , then the AVH-P2400BT looses the built in HD radio which makes a big difference....IMO pioneer is the only way to go for a DVD receiver in your price range.

and +1 for Pioneer as the best bang for the buck, But if you are serious about amps and stuff you want the higher volt preouts, that was what I didn't like about the touchscreen NAV I had in my old Accord, another thing to look at is whether it has built in bluetooth or not, and if it does what profiles it supports, my current single din only supports the hands free profile but the BTB-200 addon that I had with my NAV unit supported streaming audio so my MP3 player with built in bluetooth could stream and I never had to deal with plugging in cables.

ive never had a problem with sonic. when i bought the current hu im using, an excelon x692, i paid $150 WITH a 3yr warranty. everybody else wanted almost $175-200 just for the hu. ive been dealing with them for years and never had a problem

Just because the item you buy has a warranty card in the box doesn't mean you actually have a warranty. With some companies it won't matter but many companies (Pioneer is a good example) require proof of purchase to validate a warranty claim and won't honor the warranty on a product purchased from an unauthorized vendor.
If you never need to make a warranty claim then you've saved money. But if it breaks down, you may find yourself out of luck.
