so confused with this bose system
I've been trying to do my research but just really not quite understanding it all and not finding all the answers i need. I could use some help please! I have a 93 Z with the 3 speaker Bose set up. The right amp went back and it seems pointless to spend X amount of dollars just get back to factory sound.
I was thinking of doing this
front doors: SPR-60 coaxial 6.5 inch
100 watt RMS
300 peak
powered by
(1) MRP-f300
bridged 150 watt rms x 2
head unit would be Sony DSX-S210X
has sub pre out and 6 channel preout
I will probably do a 10 inch sub later and maybe add 2 SPR-60 to the rear passenger speakers since there aren't any there.
Question 1:
If I wanted to do just the front door speakers for now, do I need to scrap the back hatch "speaker/sub"? Couldn't the amp for the speakers just go to the pre-outs and the back speaker would just be hooked up to the converter used when putting in the new head unit?
Question 2: I've been told before that when you start to use external amps other than the OEM Bose amps you need to rewire the whole system. True or false?
