Nuisance

Just bought a 2000 SS and it has Monsoon, but only a tape deck. No factory CD player. Prior owner installed an aftermarket 6 disc changer, but I don't like it. I want a factory CD player in the dash. The question is: How difficult to swap out the Monsoon tape deck unit for a CD unit? Assume it's pretty easy, but I don't want to buy one off ebay, then run into a compatibility problem. I assume I won't have to do anything with the wiring??? Is there anything else to consider while making the swap??? Thanks. Marc.
