Where do i start cutting my bezel for double din?

Default Where do i start cutting my bezel for double din?

i have acquired a pioneer avic-d3 head unit and im trying to figure out the best way to go about installing this. do i trim my bezel near the top or bottom of the original 1.5 din, and also what should i fill the gaps on the side with?

I've tried searches before posting this, also the bezel pictured is for a T/A. My measurements are not the same.

Yes, your measurements ARE the same. Firebird vs Camaro makes no difference - the head unit opening in the bezel is the same size and will have to be modified the same way. You will have to trim from both top and bottom and the cut pieces can be used to fill the sides of the opening... just like in the thread linked above. Imagine that!

You can base your cuts off of that threa they linked plus by looking at other camaros wit double dins installed. I'm just about to get into class now but after I can snap a pic of mine for reference if that would help
