Default Need help with charging system

I just moved my alternator to the other side (driver), because it wont clear the valve cover. And I add about 2 feet of wire. And now the battery wont charge anymore. It' show around 8-10volt. normal like 12-14. What do you guys think? I used a 8 gauge wire.

personally I think 8 gauge is to small for that wire but I don't think that is your issue, is the belt tension good and did you hook up the exciter wire?

I found out that on the battery say 13.5 with a voltmeter, but on the gauge in the dash say only 12
