Replacement for Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1s?
I installed a set of Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1s (6.5" driver/1" tweeter) into my wife's car, and they are PAINFUL!
I have the crossover set on -4db, pulled the 2K, 8K, and 10K to minimum, and it still hurts our ears. The tweeter is WAY too bright.
What's a good component set with a smoother tweeter? I was looking at the JL C3-650 and JL C5-650, the Imagine I61-2V2, but would like some input. Unfortunately it's getting to the point that no shops have good demo setups anymore.
Need help!

if there painful just turn the volume down, tweeters only hurt when you turn them up to loud, maybe your just lacking on the low end so your pushing the volume to high to try to get the bass and end up with just a lot of tweeter.

I really liked the Kappa's in my Camaro (those metal tweeters really cut through the open T-top noise). In my wife's 3-series (lots of plastic and leather), they really do make your ears feel like they are going to bleed.
I ordered a set of Alpine Comp-R's. I'm hoping they will be smoother sounding (they have a sink tweeter).
