Hi,

New power antennas for 1998-2002 (#10402860) firebirds are nearly impossible to find. However, there are many new Delco antennas for years 93-97 (#10269280).

Does anyone know what the differences are? Would it be possible to take some parts ofs an existing 98-02 antenna and retrofit a new 93-97 part?

It appears the tips are very different. The bottom brackets are different but this could be remedied by swapping brackets. The core of the antenna look identical.

when i got a new ac/delco i had to swap out the bracket.....thats it

and the rubber top mount was different.....the new one used a spanner nut that required that i buy the special wrench to tighten it
