someone was saying they were LEDs and youd have to desolder them and if you take them out the open circuit causes issues. but i could be wrong. i guess you could paint the inside of the display (on the backside).

Yea i sure dont want to make a bigger problem by pulling them. I also read somewhere that thet were soldered in on a circuit board- Which is why i was wondering if you could pull them. I'll probably just leave em alone lol

Don't know about GM's, but Ford's will chime their heads off at you if you pull the airbag light. Activates the door chime every few seconds until you change the bulb.

i would think it would be easiest to plasti dip the backside of the light so the light doesnt shine through and if you need to take it off you just peel it off.

they're a LED and solder to the circuit board. easiest way is to cover up the LED.

I fixed this for my skip shift light. You can lift up the overlay, cover the LED with a small piece of electrical tape, and then replace the overlay. Just make sure to follow the proper proceedure to make sure your gauge needles go back in the right place.

x2, simple and effective. I did this for the ABS, airbag, and traction control.
