Default Monsoon system amp/revamp

This system even w its multiple levers and dials to use as an equalizer is leaving much to be desired. Hell I have heard louder monsoons in Grand Prixs w/o the EQs.
Is something missing from this equation, or common problems? Why is there such limited power or low volume from the speakers.

Not sure why you have a lack of volume. Granted, the Monsoon really doesn't SOUND all that great IMO, mine gets plenty loud. Enough to hurt your ears and the bass can rattle things with the stock system.

Something wrong with your amp?

Equalizers have nothing to do with overall volume. I would suspect that you have blown speakers - a very common issue with the cheap construction of the factory speakers and the fact that they are at least 12 years old.
