Howdy. I own a 1997 Trans Am. I noticed the lighter by the shifter was pushed into the console so today I decided to remove the console to fix it and noticed a loose set of wires. Can anyone help and tell me where these go if anywhere at all. Its an automatic if that can narrow it down at all.

Also, the second outlet doesnt work.

Looks like the plug for one of the cigarette lighters or the TCS switch if you have one.

That is the connector for the traction control switch. The five wires that would be used by the switch are brown, grey, brown/white, black/white and purple/white. The harness is there even if you don't have traction control.

As for the outlet, check fuse #11 CIG/ACCY.
