Radiator fan doesn't spin unless I jump start it by hand
What does it mean when that happens?
Ill be driving around and then notice the temp needle rise up from the normal 1/4 mark to the 1/2 mark. Pop the hood and I see one of the fans not spinning. I just touch the blades, barely push it in the direction that its supposed to spin and it starts spinning right away, slowly at first like its not getting enough power but it will eventually (after like 10 mins or so) start spinning normally...or at least it appears normal speed.
I changed the relays and fuses but same thing.
From experience I know when the fans start acting up, trying to spin them by hand becomes difficult as they get stuck and build resistance till you can't spin them anymore. And usually they start to make noise when that starts to happen.
But I'm not getting any of that. The fan blades spin effortlessly when I spin them by hand, just like when it was new and there is no noise.
Any ideas what is going on?
