Default Wiring switch to radio bezel

Looking to wire a switch for an electric cutout to an open slot I have at the top of my radio bezel, between the CAMARO dash plaque and the fog light switch.

I want to make it look stock, where the ASR button would typically go. I think I remember reading that the ASR or fog light button won't work, so I'll need to use a convertible switch. How difficult would it be to remove the switch from the DMH cable and attach it to a stock convertible switch, and mount it to the middle of my dash bezel? Below is an image of where I want the switch.

The ASR and fog light switches won't work because you need a switch that has an off/neutral position and two options - like convertible top up/down or power window up/down or power lock lock/unlock. This is because you need neutral (off), open and close options for your cutout. Those other two switches only have on and off.

I remember this question being asked before so I found some older threads with information you will need:

One more question. Will the convertible switch fit in the extra slot on my radio bezel like the fog light switch?

I believe it is the correct size but I've never installed one there so I can't guarantee it. If it doesn't fit there, you can install it in the factory location next to the lighter.
