Battery relocation
So I have a 99 camaro and want to move the battery. There is a lot of info but gets really confusing. I am not good with electrical work either so here is a few questions I am trying to figure out.
Do I need a fuse or breaker?
Where did u vent it at?
Where did u ground it at ?
Is there a way to hide or remove the battery disconnect switch (I don't like how it looksd this is my daily driver) but want to be up to nhra rules?
And is there a cheap box and mounting kit ?
Will the stock battery work for now?
Thank you

No, just the disconnect switch

Mine vented out the bottom of the car, right next to the box

I ground mine to the bolt that hold the nitrous bottle mounting plate to the car.

No, not really if you want to be NHRA legal. Per NHRA rule the cutoff lever needs to be on outside at rear of the car and clearly marked for on/off position.
And is there a cheap box and mounting kit ?
I bought a Moroso battery box from Summit, I think it was $55
Will the stock battery work for now?
A stock side post battery will work with a battery tray, but not with a box. Battery fit pretty tight in a box, not enough room for cables and side bolts. Also a rear firewall is needed if the battery is in a tray, you don't need the firewall with a battery box.
Thank you

Anytime we have anybody looking for a complete battery relocation kit we send them to Tick Performance as they have a nice kit that utilizes our BMR battery relocation box.
