Default sub keeps cutting out

my sub seems to keep turining itself on and off...(that bass goes away then comes back)...not sure if its just my ground or if i need to adjust the gain?? just wondering if anyone has had this problem or if they know what i should do to fix it cuz its starting to make me mad cus it cuts out then it comes back on again...

That sounds like an overvoltage/protection circuit problem. What type of amp are you using, and how is it wired in (high level/low level, bridged, etc.)?

it a rockford fosgate 351M, rated at 388wRMS@14V....i have a alpine type R 10 hooked up to it wired in 2OHMS...the amp is in low level and its a single channel amp...
