6.5" components in back?

I disconnected the back hatch speakers because it ruins the sound stage. It probably can be done, but I wouldn't do it. I've got a quality set of components in the front, 6.5S Kicker subs in the back seat stock location crossed over at 50-300Hz (as mid-bass drivers), and a 10" sub in a stealthbox in the trunk...

I am also thinking 6.5" mid-bass in the backseat sails and 10" in stealth boxes on the back on one 4 channel amp with different crossover points, of course.

I ran with the same setup your talking about for about 2 weeks and hated it. I pulled the subs out of the sail panels and capped those wires, pulled the back hatch speakers out and moved those wires to the sail panels and installed some 6.5 components. By far this was one of the best things I've done to keep clear sound with good bass. Plus it keeps things pretty simple.

I'm not using anything stock in my system except the HU with a PAC OEM-1 for RCA outs. I've got a 50x4 RMS Orion amp running my front door MB Quart Componets as well as a pair of Kicker F6.5C 6.75" sub in the back seat crossed over from 50-300 Hz for mid-bass only. I've got a 10" Eclipse 8710.4 powered by another Orion amp that puts out 260 watts RMS to the sub and it's crossed over at 50Hz and below.

It's now considered "old school" but I put it all in when the car was only a couple of years old, so it was the good stuff back then and it's still going strong with no issues and still sounds great! Oh, I have moved the tweeters to the rear view mirror trim panels and flush mounted them to get the soundstage up, but other than that, I'm still running everything the same.
