old solobaric 15'' need help have old solobaric 15'' is it worth buying an amp and building a box. already have 2 sony 12'' and 760 watt amp but need 2 know what will sound better. thanks

I think the 15 will make your lower bass tones sound cleaner and hit harder. What solobaric is it? An L5, L7, or is it round? Also, the solobarics sound best in a sealed box, which will take up more space than your 2 12's. That's assuming that the 12's are in a ported box of course.

It'll definitely play lower, but probably won't be any louder or hit harder. I assume by old you mean the round ones. They're pretty decent, but I think two 12s will be louder. If you want to go louder, start with getting a larger amp. At least 1200 watts and then work on replacing your 12s with something else. JMO though.

yeah it's the round one. i got it for free so i awas thinking of buying a new amp a hifonics amp would it better to use the 15 or the two 12 if i baught a better amp. sorry i dont have much experience with audio. thanks maybe i should buy a new head unit instead this stock one is a peice
