Default odometer question in 97 camaro

Does anyone know how to disconnect the odometer in a 97 camaro? thanks

Aside from the fact that it's very illegal...you lose your speedometer as well. Why would you want to do that?

I think you're thinking of LS1 (98-02) instruments. The LT1 (93-97) had a mechanical odometer (at least my 95 did).
