Default 4 Headlight Mod completed, but have questions?

I did the 4 headlight mod, looks great!! However is there a way to put 9006 bulbs in the 9005 slot? I know the 9006 doesn't match the 9005 plug, but what if I cut off the old plug and put a new 9006 plug on? Will this work, is the wattage the same going to each of them or am I wasting my time?

He's talking about wiring your lights so that low beams and high beams are on at the same time. Also to have fog lights on at the same time, here's a thread on it from a while back.

There's a small pic about 1/2 way down the page

Some places have ALOT of animals on the road at night. Florida is one. Theres always deer on the interstates and alot of small animals on the roads. It would suck to hit a deer @ 90 MPH

I noticed that places like Summit sell a 4 headlight mod wiring harness and relay for late model GM pick ups. Will that work with our cars?

I figured it out! Went to Wal-Mart, bought the 9006 socket, cut the old 9005 socket off, attached the new one, bada bing, I have low beams in all my slots! They all come on and look awesome! I will take some pics tonight to show you guys...can't really see now...to sunny. If anyone wants to do it, here are the instructions...super easy less than an hour to finish!

Nice write up, and looks pretty cool. Only thing is, you don't have high beams anymore.. just 4 low beams?

The writeup wasn't by me, it was by another on the board. Yes I now have 4 low beams. That way I can drive around town and not blind people...well not blind them to badly. I never used my brights anyway. Tomorrow I am going to clean up the wiring... will take some pics then.

Yes it will work. I have this kit on my car. Only one kit is needed. It is color coded to our stock wiring and takes <10 minutes to install.

no, all it does is keep your low beams on when the brights are on also. So you have all four lights on at the same time. Your fog lights still turn off when you activate the brights though. I found a write up a couple years ago on how to keep your brights on also. So now when i turn my brights on, all 6 front lights stay on.

Pretty good at night time to avoid the deer and other animals.
