OEM CD Changer? Pioneer?
I just bought a 99 T/A and it has a 12 disc changer in the back hooked up to what looks like an OEM harness. Didn't say GM anywhere on it so I took it out and it's a Pioneer CDX-M2116? Were the OEM Changers made by Pioneer? or is this an aftermarket unit?
I can get pics tonight after 7pm PST if needed.
Reason I need to know is that it doesn't have a cartridge and I'm getting bored of the radio and it's commercials.

No, you can't replace the factory head unit and have the factory CD changer work with an aftermarket radio - not even a Pioneer one. (Even though the changer was made by Pioneer, it was made to GM specs to connect to the Delco/Monsoon head unit.) Of course, changers have become quite affordable so you could replace both the head unit and the changer with aftermarket units without breaking the bank.
