Default Garage Door Opener

It's too bad GM treated the f-body like a dying breed and ingnored all the cool gadgets that were added to cars from 2000-2002... Is there any sort of "elegant" solution to the garage door opener? Something small like the Homelink transmitter that's in like every vehicle now? I'm now in a place that I get to garage my car but I don't exactly want to hang the opener on my visor... Any options?

you can use your cigarette lighter for your switch, or a convertible switch, tcs, asr, etc. Someone did make a universal transmitter but i couldnt find where the site was anymore.

Any other ideas?

I wonder where you'd mount the transmitter (hidden).

My buddy with an Integra GSR (VERY Tricked out) decided that he needed this since he has already done everything else including the motor. lol

He went out and got a homelink system from another car and installed it in his. Works great so it is possible.

It appears that the Homelink units are pretty self contained and only require 12V and Earth to function... Now I just need to stay on ebay until a good deal emerges on a black one...

I simply put some double-stick 3M foam tape on the
backside of my garage door remote, and stuck it
to the bottom of my console lid over the coin holder.
Flip the lid open, it's right there, nothing to interfere
with it there either.

Not exactly earth shattering but handy.
