Default DIN radio and 1/2 DIN EQ in stock location?

Is it possible to mount a standard single DIN radio and then put a 1/2 DIN equalizer beneath it and make it fit the stock radio opening in the dash? This would be sweet with a mid-market Alpine CD player with a similar 11-band mid-market Alpine EQ.

you would have to fab mounting brackets and it would be tuff beacouse the bezles would be a tight fit to make it look natural you would most likelyhave to fab up a new bezle for that whole area and do a little dremeling depending on the spific compodents... i would just go with a din & 1\2 deck i have pioneer deh-77dh for sale that pritty much new if ya intrested it had a 3 band parametic eq and seperate eq for bass controll and 4v preouts for front rear and subs its really a reat deck im just replacingit beaocse i really want mp3 capibility

The Metra mounting kit #99-4544 is designed to install a DIN radio and a half-DIN equalizer.

Alpine no longer sells 1/2 din indash EQs so your gonna have to find a used one. Why do you need a indash EQ? Most people who have them have no clue how to set them up and tune them.

Its not that bad if your good with fab work. Alot of the upper line head units have built in EQs with probably more bands then youll need.
