Sub with stock Bose system
Has anyone added a sub to their stock Bose sytem? I have a 2004 Z71, and want to keep the stock stereo becuase the onstar and various other things operate through it. Any help appreciated.

It's pretty simple. You need a pac oem-1 and the appropriate harnesses and it gives you 2 sets of RCA outputs and a turn-on lead for your new amp. They make one that is compadible with onstar so you can keep it. I can get all the stuff you need to do it right.

I just went to the PAC website to read up on the interface. It looks like what I am after is not the oem1, but the aoem-gm24. I want to keep all the factory stuff and add a sub. If you can get the stuff, let me know a price. Thanks.

The aoem-gm24 is nothing more than a oem-1 and a add gm24 cable. Nowadays, some places sell them as "kits". The vette is like this too. You can get a aoem-vet1 as a kit or a oem-1 and the addvet1 cable separate. No difference whatsoever. Since you're keeping the stock deck, you don't need to worry about the onstar. You only worry about that when you replace the stock hu with a aftermarket one.
