Default Alpine to no longer support XM-Radio -- is it true ???

Hi,

a Alpine retailer close to my place told me that Alpine is to discontinue the XM-Support to to some legal issues, or something like that... so that means that even if the radio is XM-compatible, you won't be able to get the XM-Radio module anymore... since Alpine is discontinuing the support.
anyone heard any of this ?

Alpines now have "muti satelite link" which is basically you can get a reciever thats offered by another company for XM or sirius and theres an adaptor available that allows you to use the Alpine HU to control it. However alpine has discontinued their XM reciever. I heard about this coming last year. Delphi makes a reciever that can be controlled by the alpine with the adaptor.
