Question factory security has my car on lockdown!! help!

somehow i managed to activate some unknown feature that keeps my car from starting in connection with the security system, its factory installed 2000 z28... read the manuals and still no dice?


or am i a dumbass...

if the security light is flashing when you turn the key on, your going to have to leave it on in the on position for about 15 20 min until light is solid or goes out, then try to start. Are you positive it is factory?

i also cleaned the resistors on my keys

Glad to hear that took care of things. I have seen over time those keys with the pellets not work anymore. If that ever happens your cheapest route would be to bypass it for good. I would probably get a reading off the key before that happens, that way you know the resistance.
