Anyone know how much it cost from the dealer???
I saw some used ones on ebay for $65, i might just do that.
What is the best speakers to upgrade to that are reasonably prices, i heard that there is a lot of modifications, and specifications.

I have no idea what they cost from the dealer but I replaced my whole audio system and my doors and sail panels have 6 1/2" Sony Xplod 3-ways in them that sound really good.

I just called the dealer and for one speaker its $80, i was reading about the alpine's in the FAQ. I saw them on ebay for about $65 new, i am a huge fan of alpine, thats all i had in my last car, about $2000 worth. I am just worried about cutting all the wires on the speakers to seperate the tweeter and the mid, for the amp and H/U. I am wondering if i am making it seem more difficult then it is.

I did the alpine swap as well, no electrical knowledge at all, and have never touched a system before now. It is difficult at first, but as soon as you decipher what wires go where(read the sticky), then its very simple. Sounds awesome too. If you just want used factory speakers I can recommend a website I got some through, but they arent a sponsor so pm me.

Forgot to add, if you havent read the sticky the alpine's are model SPS-170A. But read the sticky and see if it makes sense to you before you buy them.

This is just my 2 cent but I wouldn't keep anything from the monsoon system, I would replace the headunit and speakers. I think you'll probably run into problems with trying to modify the monsoon system too. I've heard of alot of people having problems with it.

The alpines are great. I just replaced my door speakers with them. It sounds 100 times better than blown speakers and its cheaper than getting new monsoon speakers.

when you guys replace the speakers do you keep the monsoon deck or do you swap that out too, will the sound adjusters work with the new speakers...i assume yes? my deck sucks and skips my cds all the time, i tried cleaning it but it didnt work. for the most part when it works i like the way it sounds.

The Monsoon system is ok but I miss my Bose system. To bad Bose doesnt make aftermarket systems.
