I mounted them on the door panel, similar to were the trans am pods are located. If I get a chance, I can email you a picture.

There was a guy on ls1.com sshevy that used to make fiberglass pods that mounted on the door behind the side view mirrors, I got a set from him, great looking and fit great, since ls1.com has "changed" Not sure of how to contact that guy to make them. The TA door panel is a good alternative. oh also know people who mounted them in the vents on the sides of the dash board, behind the grills, sounds great, constant air flow over them.

For the most part it was. Had to epoxy a small piece behind the door handle for a screw to go into. I know several folks on this site have also went this route so I know there is some more info on this site.

FYI-I bought my door panels on e-bay and if you really want to buy a set I can get you in touch with a guy who deals only is F-Body parts. He usually always has seats and door panels, although he is a little pricey on some of his stuff. Located in Texas....

Q Forms has about the best staging options.

Pods are cool but not the best for soundstaging.

Just depends on what you want.

Can you post a link to a Q Form. Are you talking about kick panels?

I agree the sound staging could be better, it was better when I had them on the a-pillar both pointing at the windshield or cross car... BUT, they look good and I think they are better than the TA location IMO.

Im not saying they are bad. Just not ideal for imaging. The whole idea of imaging is to fill the soundstage so you cant tell where the source is, q-forms help with this. Thats why we have center channels. When you close your eyes you should not be able to point to where the speakers are in the car.

Getting proper imaging in a Fbody is really difficult. The Q forms arent much better than the stock locations.

Those Q forms sound much better if you glass over them and make them sealed.
