Default Scared...

Yesterday my friend's back window of his 300zx was smashed in and his 500 subs and amp were stolen. He had a stock alarm, but it didnt even go off.

I was wondering what some of the best security systems are out there. Mine only really goes off if you hit the driver side door/post. I want somthing that will go off if the windows are broken. Will my stock alarm in my 2002 Firehawk go off if someone were to break one of the back or passenger side windows?

But what are the best alarm systems out there??

The alarm should go off when the car is bumped if you have the sensitivity set to a high setting on the shock sensor. That senor is located on the passenger side, right ovewr the wheel well. Should be labled and everything.

yeah the stock alarms are pretty good on our cars, but they wont go off if someone is standing next to it. but im positive it will if someone smashes one of your windows.

Your best bet is to listen to your system "wisely". Don't go into a ghetto neighborhood and be jammin' out, you'll attract attention you really don't want. Also, park in well lite areas and make sure there are other people constantly around where you park. This won't gaurantee your car won't get broken into, but it will deter most theives. Hell, I had an alarm with two shock sensors set to a very sensitive level, and my truck still got broken into.

Ya, so you can go back to your car to survey the damage sooner...
