Default Headlight Annoyances 95 trans am

Headlight Annoyances

I don’t why my car does this, or how its goes about deciding when to do it because there is no pattern or obvious event that would set this off, but I have been having trouble with the switch that flips the headlights up and down.

*They go up and down fine in off or accessory mode.

*Sometimes they won’t go up while the car is running, and I will have to switch back to accessory mode to make them flip up. (The actual lights themselves go on and off fine)

*Most of the time after they are up and the car is already running, they will not go down until you switch the car to accessory or off mode.

And one time only one of the headlights popped up, the other one did not, but both lamps were on.

This car does have a custom installed alarm system that controls the ignition and stuff and makes the side markers and taillights flash when you lock the doors, (probably wired into main headlamps as well) dunno if that has anything to do with it.

Any input would be great!
