Just below the vent in the center of the dash, take a small screwdriver and pry upwards. You're going to catch some resistance... there are clips holding it in. Move the screwdriver along the panel each way, prying gently, and you'll have pulled the clips to release it. From personal experience, do NOT use a finger to move along the panel... if it cuts you, it hurts like hell.

You MAY be able to pry it up enough to reach under to the sensor. If not, you'll have to remove the A-pillar trim on both sides first so that the dash panel can be lifted off.

I, too, have cut myself on the edge of the dash panel so be careful!

I believe I took my radio out and got in there that way on my '02. You can pry up on the panel some too.

Just look on your dash - it's the flat panel between the padded dash and the base of the windshield that goes all the way across. It has the defroster vent in it and the headlight sensor is located to the right of the vent (next to the red LED for the alarm).

Just pry up the big plastic panel in front of your dash pad. Unhook the sensor next to the red LED. Then hook the two wires that go to the harness you just unplugged together some how. If you don't they will stay on all the time.
