Question Device?

Is there a device that would allow the stock headunit to give "power" and work with amps, subs, and mids? (thinking of keeping my stock looking dash, but want a sound system in it, if u see what I mean), any?
Thank you.

Yes, all you need is a line-level adapter to convert the speaker-level output of the head unit to pre-amp (line) level. Then you can connect whatever amps and speakers you can fit and afford.

Just remember that distortion from the speaker lines will be amplified through your amp... this is cheap, easy, and will work, but will not sound as good as an aftermarket radio. There are mount kits that will not make your dash look "hacked up"

I've thought about getting JL Audio's Cleansweep CL441DSP. If I ever decide to replace the stock amp and speaker wiring.

It's supposed to condition the signals from stock headunits to improve SQ for use with aftermarket amps and speakers. It's much more than just a line level converter. But at $400, it is not cheap.

if you want a stock lookin cd player, pioneer does have the 1 1/2 din that doesn't look too out of place. a flushmount dash kit and a properly selected cd player would be a better alt IMO. and you can get a decent aftermarket cd player for <400

Way less than 400, hit ebay and get a pioneer mid range radio with 3 sets of rca outs... you'll be in good shape.
