Default Stock alarm question

I got an aftermarket alarm installed, but they disabled my stock alarm, why is that? is that nessecary? I would prefer to have both, its a 2000 WS6, thanks

I can't imagine what benifit you would gain by having both alarms active. What makes you think that 2 alarms are better than 1?

My guess is either your installer disabled the stock alarm because it is standard practice to do so. Or it was necessary because the 2 were incompatibly using common resources.

Besides, do you want to have to carry two remotes with you all the time?
