How hard is it to install a Tach?

Default How hard is it to install a Tach?

i really wasnt sure where to post this at so if you need to move it sorry i just didnt know.

but anyway im thinkin about buying a 5' tach for my car i dont really know why i just like the way it looks sittin on the dash there so i fgured what the hell ill waste some more money on my car is it hard to install?

Very easy to install. Worse part is drilling holes in the dash to mount it seeing there is no turning back at that point. Basically, you'll run a ground, switched 12 volt, lighting, and then one line to your PCM where you'll tap into the tach signal, that's all she wrote. BTW, I have a silver faced Autometer Sport-comp laying around if you're interested.

Factory Tach on your year is pin 10 white wire.

Thanks guys. yea i was worried about drilling my dash. but i think it will look good when im done.

anyone happen to have a tach in there car? pictures? just wondering what it looks like

i will try to get you some pictures.....but i mounted mine at the bottom of the A-pillar. It tucked nicely up against the dash, a-pillar, and the windshield. No obstruction of view or anything. I love it! And the best part is you dont have to drill holes in your dash. An a-piller is a hell of a lot cheaper than a dash!!
