Default having trouble with new sub

i recently installed my amp and 10 inch sub in my z. it worked great for a week and now when ever i turn up the volume the bass goes away but then comes back when i turn it down. i have a ma udio 1 channel and a sony 10. i tried hooking up another amp but does the same thing. the sub is only 2 weeks old

most likely wiring issue.... unless you just got a defunkified amp or sub.

how do you have everything wired, and also what type of power fuse are you using for the amp?

you can probably rule the amp itsself out if you tried with another amp and it did the same thing. probably wiring, could be weird electrical anomalies or possibly a "defunkified" sub as mentioned.

possibly even a voltage problem?
