can i mount a sealed battery in the back

Default can i mount a sealed battery in the back

can i just bolt it down without a box and vent. are optima red tops sealed?

Yeah, you can just bolt it down. Red tops are sealed batteries.

Just a heads up, they aren't really "sealed". Those little black circles on the tops of the batteries are actually vents. If you charge these batteries and moisture gets on those vents, you can see the gasses bubbling out. ....And by the way, that gas is hydrogen... Take it for what it's worth; I've serviced hundreds of these batteries, and have seen them bubble countless times. "Sealed" might not necessarily really mean truly sealed. (You just might not have to check and service the electrolyte levels.)
