Question Problems with Optima batteries not fitting?

Just bought a new red top Optima battery and it doesnt fit into the stock battery tray on my 02 Camaro. Has anyone had this problem before. What can be done? Also the battery tie down cant be screwed in anymore cuz of the battery size so is there any universal tie downs.

my yellow top seems to fit fine. If I recall correctly there was a specail hold down piece of plastic and seemed to be made for the 6-pack shape of the optima. I'll have to check though.

my yellow top fit fine with the stock tie down. i just bought a red top to put in my yukon and know that there are two different sizes of red tops...so that could be the problem.

you need the optima with the side connect things towards the outer edges, not the one with the things towards the middle(bad explination, but a little hungover)
