Default rockford 501s amp, 500x1@4ohms bridged, what kinda sub?

My friend gave me a rockford 501s amp. The specs are...
125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
250 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms in bridged mode
stereo or bridged mono output
4-ohm stable in bridged mode
I want to go with a single sub setup. I am looking for a balance between SQ and SPL. what sub would you recommend me looking into?
I assume I am looking for a single sub which is 4ohm so i can draw 500watts from the amp in bridge mode?
thanks guys.

yea you'll want a sub that is SVC 4-hom, or DVC 2-ohm

what are the specs on the box it will go in? do you want a 10" or 12"? what kind of music do you listen to? what is your budget?

I am not sure if i want a 12" or 10" does it make a big difference... I listen to a lot of rap and r&b music. I would say my budget for the sub is around 200ish. Keep in mind i will probably search for a used sub on ebay so 2-300 is my budget new.
