what 2ohm 6.5" subs are you running
My sail subs are rattling every bass note played and I want to put some new 6.5" 2 ohm in there. What is everyone using? I only need the speakers and I'm looking to spend under a 100 bucks. just need them to play the lows since the amp sends only low frequency anyway. thanks!

better quality/sensitivity results in no noticeable difference typically
and I said that because TAs came with dual 4 ohm subs -- even if it was a single 2 ohm sub, the dual 4 ohm sub would be used (like in Camaros) with the VCs wired in parallel to achieve a 2 ohm impedance
you aren't going to find a better choice for the TA

where do u buy those subs? i see them on ebay but they are in like england or something. they are 50 euro plus more shipping. that would be more in american right? i dont want to ship them that far if they dont work. what about the Rockford Fosgate RFP4406 6.5" or the jl 6w0s? neither are 2 ohm but they suggest them as replacements in the guy and the RF is like 75 bucks. thanks.

Has to be bought directly from Elemental Designs -- google them and you'll find their website from which you can purchase them -- or look thru the first post in this thread and that should answer your question as well.

England still uses pounds as well. But the exchange rate will give you even less leverage.
Shipping from England is going to be total rapage. I ship internationally all the time. I wouldn't do it unless it is something you really want.

Hi guys!! I do have other alternatives on sale right now as well!! They are 4ohm but test around 3.09-3.5ohms and are excellent quality!! For Firebirds & T/A's with the Monsoon amp wiring is not plug and play but is very easy to do. I can make you a diagram. As far as losing sound...it isn't really noticeable when using a good quality speaker since they have greater sensitivity. As you said, 4 ohm is fine -- the fact that they test lower than nominal means nothing though.. no speakers run only at nominal impedances -- look at 2 ohm speakers, they wont be at max impedances all the time -- it varies -- and can't be accurately read with a DMM -- need an oscilloscope.
Plus -- since they are SVC 4 ohms, that actually is the proper impedance if you were to use just one pair in the TA.
