Default Car alarm deativation...

Alright so i had an aftermarket alarm put in my car and now i don't really need two alarms and would rather not carry around extra remotes all the time as well.

How can i safely and efficiently remove my factory alarm? Or just deactivate it permanetely if thats easier.

the car is a 98 T/A, if that matters.
