Default HUD for an f-body???

Has anyone ever seen or heard of anyone carrying it??? I know the vette runs off the same basic PCM and don't see why it couldn't be done. The only thing I don't know is if the HUD runs off the PCM or the console itself???Easiest case scenerio jumping/splicing a couple wires and fabricating if into the front dash. It is a kind of pointless mod and doesn't make you perform any better but would be very unique I think and wouldn't mind doing it. Any one know???

+1 I think that would be pretty cool too, not sure of the cost to do that though.

So atleast you wouldn't have to mess with the PCM it sounds since it goes of the gauge cluster. I'm half thinking about buying the HUD and giving it a try. Just need to find a wire diagram for a vette to see exactly what wires it will tap in to. I'm just not that crazy about ripping/cutting a hole in the dash I work on aircraft avionics splicing and soldering stuff all the time. I can't see it being anywhere worse than that.

If you can't get the corvette setup to work, Defi makes HUD units..

That may be, but I'm also trying to find what wires that the HUD runs off. I have EVERY RESOURCE on wiring at my disposal. I work in an avionics shop for HC-130s, me installing it isn't the question. It's finding what inputs the HUD needs??? It will of course need power and ground, but what other inputs that an f-body might not have that a vette will. I mean I could always pay an arm and a leg and buy it from GM directly and jump it from the console. Kind of a very technical question. Not trying to be rude, just looking for a little more than what I've found.
