Covered in the Monsoon FAQ sticky:
E33 : CD Changer Communication Error
Cause: There is a vehicle/radio communication problem or internal radio communication problem.
Correction: Disconnect battery voltage to the radio and then reconnect after a few minutes. If there is still an error, determine if the problem is with the radio, the harness or the changer. Inspect for correct voltage at all connectors. If there is still an error, service the unit at an ACDelcoŽ Service Center.

umm...i did it with no results. I have no clue what an acdelco service center is, and have never heard of one. Is there any alternatives? ONE time it did display a code 30, and actually tried to read the disc. All other times it is 33 and wont even try.

"AC Delco Service Center" is just a fancy name for electronics repair shops (often small mom and pop operations) that are under contract with GM to repair radios and other equipment. You won't see them advertised much but your local dealer will know who is under contract in your area.

However, chances are that an out-of-warranty repair will cost you more than just buying a replacement changer either from someone here or on eBay. Changers usually go for $75-$100 in the parts for sale section here.

Mine was working yesterday when I got in the car. I got out and popped a new CD in, but it was a no-go. I got E33 on the display. The Magazine won't eject.

I read the sticky, also and tried disconnecting the unit. Still no-go.

Any way to coerce the magazine out?

E33. No CDs play. Magazine clicks, but won't eject. Remedy?

The remedy is in the sticky that you say you read:

E33 : CD Changer Communication Error
Cause: There is a vehicle/radio communication problem or internal radio communication problem.
Correction: Disconnect battery voltage to the radio and then reconnect after a few minutes. If there is still an error, determine if the problem is with the radio, the harness or the changer. Thanks for the response.

I tried disconnecting the power, didn't help any.
The radio plays cassettes & AM/FM--so I'm guessing the problem isn't with the radio.

I'm pretty sure the problem is with the changer; any idea how much it will cost to have it "serviced" or is there a way that I can "service" it myself?
