Default Hifonics Brutus BXI-606 or Cadence TXA-750D

Ugh.... I don't know much about this stuff. I think these two 600 watt amps are similar priced and powered. I don't really know specs though. The amp will be powering an Alpine Type R dual 2 ohm voice coil. Anyone enlighten me?

you can't go wrong with hifonics, just cause to amps are rated doesn't really mean anything... some amps will still out perform the other amp even they are suppose to be the same....

How much is your budget?
I have the Rockford Fosgate Punch P4002 for $165.00 shipped. NIB!!!!
RMS power:
100watts x 2 @ 4ohms
200watts x 2 @ 2ohms
400watts x 1 @ 4ohms bridged mono
compared to the Cadence Power ratings:
SKU: TXA-750D
1 x 275 Watts @ 4 Ohm
1 x 375 Watts @ 2 Ohm
1 x 600 Watts @ 1 Ohm
Plus Rockford Fosgate has always underated there amps.
If you need more power than that I have this:

MA Audio M1900XE 1000watt monoblock amp for $155.00 shipped.
Mono Block High Performance Amplifier
Subsonic filter: 20-50Hz
1 x 500W RMS @ 4-Ohm Mono
1 x 1000W MAX @ 2-Ohm Mono

The Cadence amp would be good. The Ma Audio amp Kee Audio listed would be good too. It would give you the option of adding another sub in the future if you wanted.

This is true but both amps I listed are way more powerful than the Cadence. This is something you will need to push 2 12" Type R's to there potential.

I wouldn't go that far. Candence use to be owned by mcintosh, it was there sub-division. Those amps are rated rms.

I use to love the old school hifonics amps. Now they are mass market amps. Just my opinion.

I wasn't knocking Cadence by NO means...I carry their whole line through my distributor. They have very nice amps!! In fact it was annoying when i used to mention them and people didn't like them. I was like huh?? Very nice amp for the money. I get the same thing when I mention CDT and people have no clue who I'm talking about. If it's not a mass produced company that has a huge marketing budget... They would rather buy something inferior because they saw it in an ad.
The Fosgate's rating was rms as well.
