for speaker wire you don't need more then 16, unless you're competing. For H/U preouts, monster RCA's work fine

not saying that im not a fan of upgrading the gauge of my speaker wire and everything...but speaker wire uses ac current which doesnt require the extreme gauge wire sizes that dc current does.

If I remember right, most of it is listed in the service manual as 18 gauge. Some is larger and a couple of spots might be smaller.
