Default Question of the day (eD install ?)

I installed the woofer and everything was working alright. Then when I turn the volume up ( I am using the factory head unit with a line out converter and have the eD k7v.2 hooked up to a crossfire 1000 amp) the subs start cutting out, any ideas why it does this? I have the 02 ta with monsoon system. My friends cadilllac does this also and he has the bose setup in his. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check your gains on the amp. Other than that I don't really know what would be going wrong.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I will try turning the gain down on it though

If your ground isn't solid enough, then when the volume goes up and power increases, the amp may go into protect mode essentially cutting them out.

It has a protection light on it and that light doesn't go on when the woofers start doing that.

Check the pre-amp voltage. Might be a little low. Try a line-driver.
