Default Weird Headlight Problem

My T/A has a weird headlight issue going on. Both low beam bulbs are good, but only the driver side lights up. When I turn the switch on, there is 12V at the connector with the headlight unplugged. The second I plug a headlight into the connector, the voltage drops to 0. This problem is really confusing me. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it is grounding out. But it does this with either bulb?

Yes, I took the bulb from the driver side and tried it on the pass side and thats what happens.

Is the socket OK? Check your ground connection as well.

I guess there's a flaky connection in the weatherpak connector. I plugged and unplugged it, and it worked fine.

OK glad you found the problem. Keep an eye on it, you may need to replace it but maybe it was just loose and will be fine.
