Default MTX Thunderform questions.

I'm looking into buying one that has the amp installed.. I've done a search & they are saying you need to tap into the rear speakers, is this only if you're running a factory hu?? My other question is, since I have an aftermarket HU, wouldn't it be possible to just run a set of rca's from the hu to the amp that comes with the box & be done with it?? Any info is appreciated.

personally, i wouldnt go with a thunderform. you'll get much better sound out of a custom box with a good sub and amp. to answer your other question, yes that is what you would want to do, run your sets of rca's to your amp and then of course your power from your battery and ground it somewheres. just pm me if you wanna know a good site for boxes....there a non sponsor so i dont wanna name drop on here.

I've dealt with the powered version of the Thunderform and the enclosure is fine but the sub and amp leave something to be desired. The cheapest I found those for is $174.00 with no sub, $209.00 with a cheap MTX 4500 series sub it looks like, and $324.00 for the amplified version. I have custom fabbed fiberglass enclosures with a high quality CDT EF-100 sub for $199.00 plus shipping. I also have this deal going that comes with everything you need to install and have great sounding bass:

Cool

MTX Thunderform 10" Enclosure will do just fine.
Keyword enclosure only.
Throw JLAudio sub in and you will have a grin on your face that you will not erase.
