Got another ticket
Well I was coming home from work tonight and got pulled over. I knew my headlight has been out for a couple weeks and was trying to avoid nighttime driving. He said I had 72 hours to get it fixed....but seeing as how tommorow is the weekend and christmas holidays are monday and tuesday, he said the office would be opened on Wednesday. I told him my plans to buy the sealed beam conversion kit headlights with the christmas money I would be recieving but he didn't seem to care at all...he repeated that I had 72 hours. I ordered the headlights tonight but they probably will not be here by Wednesday and much less be installed by then. I'm hoping a receipt will do to get me by. Besides the fact that my car will be in the shop Wednesday and Thursday anyways getting LCA bushings, spark plug wires, and getting lowered.

Aren't the headlights for his year of car about $35? Even if they are, it's still cheaper than that ticket will be.
You know, I don't understand why people let their cars go like that-driving around with 1 headlight means you don't care about the car, or how bad it looks, not to mention how unsafe it is to drive at night...

This question is so silly I'm surprised the other posters have been letting you off so easy. Don't be a fool - replace the headlight!
The pricing confusion is between 98+ Camaros which use inexpensive bulbs and earlier models (such as your 94) which use sealed beams. The sealed beams are about $25 each at AutoZone or Pep Boys - they're probably cheaper at Wal*Mart.

I know, I was trying to avoid night time driving. The headlight is over 25 dollars and I was in the process of ordering the sealed beam conversion kit

If you're worried about the money, you probably shouldn't be modding the car...I had a foglight die on me this morning and as soon as I saw the reflection of it in the car in front of me (thats how I saw it was dead) I said "wow, that looks like crap" and stopped at the first autozone I saw to get a new bulb in there...nothing looks crappier than dead lights...no worse excuse for getting a ticket than "but I'm saving up to modify the car in this way" to an officer either...he/she doesn't care at all...and most of them think you should be keeping it 100% stock anyways.

One of my foglights went out and I wanted to see how my car looked without them....it looks a whole lot better IMO. The lights are ordered so I'm just waiting for them to get here. Anybody know how easy/heard these are to install?
