Default Coolant gauge dead/low coolant light

I did a search, but didn't really find what I was looking for.

Basically, my coolant levels seem to be fine, but the coolant low light still comes on and the coolant gauge no longer works. The gauge jumped a bit the day it just died.

How can I fix these issues? They aren't too important to me, but it bothers me.

Sometimes the coolant sensor, located right below the radiator hose on the top passenger side next to the battery, gets stuff built up on it. You can drain the radiator part way and clean it or in your case I'd just replace it. Mine did the same thing. I got a new sensor, flushed the coolant and refilled with distilled water/coolant.
