Anyway i want to get a stock gm bose cd player from a 94 or similar and replace my cassete player, will the cd player plug right in or will it need to be modified?

Default

As long as you get a Bose CD player, it will plug right in and work fine. Bose and non-Bose are incompatible (without adapters) so don't get a non-Bose CD head unit.
